So what does one do?
Get right out amongst it.
64 glorious millimetres.
By far the biggest fall of this season.
And the first time water has run.
Hopefully more to come tomorrow.
So just keep getting your clothes wet kids. Plenty more in the cupboard.
For it's raining and all is well with the world.

I must send mine out into it tomorrow- the moochers!
ReplyDeleteNothing better than dancing in the rain! They look like they're having a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteeveryone should play in the rain!!
ReplyDeleteNothing like welcome rain to lift the spirits.
ReplyDeleteSo dry here - we are ok though as plenty of stock water and feed still. But just over the dryness...
mine are the same, love running around in it, and then afterwards rolling around in the mud like little piglets. So far we've not had diddly squat (not counting the few spits that fall on the roof from time to time) out of this influence. A few showers around but not here....didn't I tell you that your turn was coming?!! and my goodness, even though you've not had heaps of rain until now, isn't your lawn looking lush! good thing you got that lawn mower going!
ReplyDeleteps steel picket in the round garden bed? holding the tree straight or for some other mysterious purpose?
ReplyDelete(seeing some garden by default! ;-)
Delightful! My kids love to dance in the rain as well. Sail boats down that running water while you can! x

ReplyDeleteI love it; The pictures are great! We're actually getting rain here in the desert too! Congrats! Rain is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteMaybe one day kids might be excited to see rain here in UK! We have drought measures in the south, though not here in the north.
ReplyDeleteWe've just got wind, wind and more wind .... Mind you hubby has just started sowing its still a bit boggy from a couple of weeks ago, so I guess I'll cope with the wind, providing it doesn't blow us off the hill here (until sowings finished at any rate!)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful?? We cattle people loooove a good rainfall! More rain, more grass , more fat cattle, more cha cha ching$$$
